It is our mission to Share the Love of God!
Each year we live out this mission differently, always seeking to share God’s love where it is needed and in the ways it is needed. However, we do have ministries that we regularly participate in, including:
Prayer Blankets
Every Wednesday morning from 9:00 am -12:00 pm, a group gathers to sew prayer blankets that are given away to ANYONE in need of a tangible sign that they are covered in prayer. If you would like a prayer blanket to keep or give to someone in need, please contact the office.
Funeral Luncheon Ministry
Whenever a member dies, we gather around their family and friends as a network of support. At no charge to the family, members of the church provide a potluck meal in the church hall for the bereaved community as a sign of God’s love, tending not only to souls but also to bodies in difficult times.
Angel Tree Ministry
We collect Christmas Presents for families in need each December.
Lamb's Fold
This local Joliet agency works with homeless women and children often times fleeing domestic abuse. We collect diapers, funds, and goods for these women and their families.

Lutheran World Relief
Every October, we host a semi truck that collects quilts, personal care kits, school kits, and baby kits from neighboring churches. Lutheran World Relief then distributes these quilts and kits all over the globe to people in need.

Souper Bowl of Caring
Each year on Superbowl Sunday we collect funds for a local organization that feeds the hungry.
St. John’s Mobile Food Pantry
We regularly roll up our sleeves and serve at St. John’s Mobile Food Pantry, which serves approximately 300 families over 30,000 pounds of food in 3 hours, 5 times a year.
Feed My Starving Children
As an inter-generational group, we get out and pack food that is sent all over the world to those facing hunger.
Back to School Supply Drive
Each August we collect school supplies for a local elementary school.
Fall Food Drive
Each fall we collect non-perishable food for the Blessing Bench food pantry which is a ministry of First and Santa Cruz Lutheran Church in Joliet.
Christmas Caroling
Every December we go caroling to members of Faith and friends of Faith who are homebound. This is an amazing way to impact a life with something as simple as your voice!
