Pastor Paul Kopka
Interim Pastor
Pastor Paul Kopka has been serving in interim congrens for almost 20 years. Ordained a pastor in 1986, he served in Southeast Michigan before moving to Chicago in 1996. In 2006 he received a doctorate from Lutheran Theological Seminary in Chicago (LSTC). Since 2007 Pastor Paul has served as a trained intentional interim pastor in over 15 congregations in Chicagoland. From Warrenville to Wicker Park, Glenview to Hegewisch, Aurora to Palatine he has served throughout the Metro Chicago Synod.
Though officially retired at he end of 2025, Faith’s Council invited him to come to Faith to serve as interim pastor. Pastor Paul will be leading worship on April 19. Though details are still being worked out he looks forward to having regular office hours, and meeting each council member, staff, volunteers, and members. He is pleased and honored to be at Faith during these days. Pastor Paul is passionate about Jesus, working with congregations in being open to God’s future, good conversations and coffee. He looks forward to meeting with you.
Pastor Paul and his wife Pei [pronounced like, Pay a bill!] reside with their rescue dog, Piper in Bolingbrook. They have been members of New Life Lutheran in Bolingbrook for twenty years.
Beth Anne Hostert
minister of music
Beth Anne Hostert is a classically trained pianist and vocalist. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from MacMurray College. She is a retired middle school Choral Director and General Music teacher. She served as organist and choir director at Tinley Park Community Congregational Church, as choir accompanist at Hazel Crest Community United Methodist Church, and then added the role of choir director there, and now serves as the Minister of Music at Faith Lutheran Church.
